Mindy Au, InterIm CDA’s Asset Building Program Manager, was recently appointed by the Seattle City Council to serve on the City of Seattle’s Immigrant and Refugee Commission for a two-year term. Ms. Au is one of 15 members appointed by the Mayor and City Council to advise the city on ways to enhance and improve access to city services and resources for immigrants and refugees. The Commission is also charged with strengthening opportunities for immigrants and refugees to participate in civic life and encouraging understanding between and among various immigrant and refugee communities in the city. Ms. Au brings experience in working with immigrant and refugee communities not only in Seattle, but in places in the U.S. and internationally.
