Danny Woo Garden Mission Statement:
The Danny Woo International District Garden is dedicated to providing the community of the International District, specifically the elderly and those with a salary 30 percent under that of the median salary, the opportunity to participate in outdoor agrarian activities and the opportunity to socialize and remain active within the community that they live in. Furthermore the Danny Woo Garden strives to maintain environmental sustainability through the promotion of traditional practices and by integrating community awareness of environmental responsibility and practices to those who take part in the garden.
The Danny Woo Garden exists under the care of Inter*Im Community Development Association, a 503(c) non profit organization whose mission is to support affordable housing, community and economic development in Seattle's ID/Chinatown neighborhood and other Asian Pacific Islander (API) communities in the Puget Sound region. |
